We find a certain attractive calmness surrounding objects that are in a momentary state of balance. The solid wood legs and table top tapers from a thickness of 20mm to 5mm, giving a sense of incredible visual lightness. This is emphasized by the small gap at the base, lifting the table off the floor and letting a sliver of light through.

The MIES Lounge Table is a fresh, versatile addition to the stringently graphic MIES series - thus far characterised by flexing to be either a table for work or for dining. This version brings the focus down in height, and is an inviting piece for relaxing around, exuding ideas and creativity in its combination of an exclusive worktop in marble, glass or ash veneer, a frame of steel and a floating under-table magazine shelf of the finest quality leather. The inspiration for the rounded edges of the MIES tables, which have become their distinctive characteristic, emerged as an elegant solution to the problem of sharp table edges encountered by many families with children, including those of the designers themselves.

Sharing the same aesthetic principles as EASE Dining Table, EASE Lounge Table is an honest piece of furniture made of natural or painted oak veneer that has sturdy, simple and natural qualities. It radiates the same rich-yet-understated graphic detailing, but unlike its big sister, it only has three legs. These hold up its circular table top in a triangular construction that, being lower in stature, creates a more intimate expression. This version of EASE now has three variants, with the 900 mm - diameter one available in solid European oak.
