Like the Dosina clam, the chair has an easily recognisable fan-shaped silhouette that emphasises comfort with its broad, embracing back. Its name references the dovetail joint — one of the oldest and most revered techniques in woodworking, celebrated for its mechanical strength and the precision required to execute it. On the Dovetail Stool, this joint is not hidden but celebrated, becoming the defining visual element of the design. The 3-leg Cedar version brings a richer, warmer tone to the sculptural tripod form — cedar is a timber valued across craft traditions for its natural oils, durability, and gentle aromatic character, here expressed through the lighter, more open geometry of the 3-leg base.
