The Saga chair is an effort to find harmony in a small lounge chair with a great seating experience. A seemingly oversized seat lends to the visual comfort of the chair. Still the chair is rather petite in size and fits well into smaller spaces. The presence of the chair is a combination of Japanese humbleness and Scandinavian material sensibility. In Norwegian the word Saga refers to the ancient stories of the North. With this chair we are writing a new story from Saga prefecture.

The design of these shelves are inspired by the fireworks installation created by Cai Guo-Qiang. The gently curved ends of the shelf legs are reminiscent of a rope ladder, suspended from a hot air balloon. The result is both poetic and structural. The Taio tables are understated and timeless circular solid wood occasional/coffee tables. The tables are modest companions to a lot of different furniture settings. They are especially good together with other low seating furniture, but works well on their own.
