The 016 Maasto Bar Stool provides elevated seating plus all the features of the elegant and elemental Maasto dining range. Each piece in the Maasto family is simple and strong, combining plywood for strength and reduced bulk with solid pine for durability.
The Maasto Bar Stool is purposely reduced in form and concept: a simple ode to pine that is light and strong, for casual dining anywhere. The Maasto Bar Stool is available in two heights and features copper-covered footrests for maximum durability.
Maasto Bar Stool in Black features a deep black stain, unique to Vaarnii, through which the pine's distinctive grain remains pleasingly visible.
Vaarnii’s Black furniture is made from the same materials as our original finished objects. A deep black stain, created in-house, is added as a final stage of the production process. The stain is long-lasting and hard-wearing and has been developed to reveal the decorative wood grain beneath. As the pine wood's natural hue deepens with age, the black stain finish will also gain richness. Pine features a distinct grain and the inclusion of knots. Every piece is unique. Vaarnii never hides the true character of the timber, we regard it as a valuable decorative feature. If knots are present on your Vaarnii furniture, it is important to note that they have been carefully positioned. Because pine is a soft wood, dents and bruises may occur over the years. We ask our customers to embrace these gentle signs of aging. Pine is a natural and unique material. Your pine furniture will age with you. We encourage our customers to enjoy and cherish the beautiful transformation. Our pine plywood is made from high quality pine and is strong and light. It has been cut in such a way as to enhance the unique patterns found on the timber’s surface. Pine plywood matures in colour in the same way as solid pine. All Vaarnii products are made locally by select Finnish makers and specialists. Every pine tree is harvested from sustainably managed Finnish forests and solid timber is hand-selected for the highest quality. Our pine plywood is currently sourced from central Europe due to a lack of high-quality local material. Vaarnii very much hopes to find a supplier of Finnish plywood that matches our desire for quality.

Bar stools are often placed so they are viewed from behind. The designers behind Tools® embraced this idea to achieve the Yuuga bar stool. Many bar stools have the same shape on the outside as on the inner surface where one sits, but Yuuga has a hard surface on the outside in the form of 3D moulded oak veneer, and a soft inner side of moulded foam under leather upholstery.
The 3D moulded veneer gives the stool a beautiful curved, well-conceived back. And the soft inner surface makes the chair comfortable to sit on for long periods of time. In other words, Yuuga has an organic shape on the outside and a soft inner surface like the Asian clam of the same name. The stool is designed with minimised dimensions to provide ample space around the table

The Plié Sideboard is part of the 2019 German Design Awards-winning Plié shelving system that offers simple solutions for organising, displaying and storing your belongings.
Designed by Cesare Bizzotto and Tobias Nitsche, the Sideboard uses the least amount of powder-coated aluminium possible which, folded, results in a lightweight, yet highly robust structure. This unit can be assembled with only a handful of components.
