DESIGN: Destroyers/Builders.

For Linde Freya Tangelder, the founder of destroyers/builders, the ASSEMBLE is a sofa debut. “It was the most complex object I have ever designed. And the largest for that matter. It was challenging to combine my preference for architectural contouring and very tactile materials with rather practical necessities as sitting comfort, foam density and extreme detailing.”

DESIGN: Muller van Severen.

The colourful trivets might just be one of the most iconic images that Muller Van Severen have created in their celebrated career. With Trivets, the design couple reinterpreted a simple kitchen tool by positioning it against the wall as a piece of art. Today, they redraw the composition. The new collection of Trivets consists of five simple circles in pastels and bright hues creating a colourful yet minimalistic composition of concentric rounds. Consider it a bangle for the kitchen wall. An all-black set is also available. These circular Trivets can also be combined with the original rectangular Trivets. “Don’t discard the old, add to it”, is what the designers are essentially saying. These Trivets act as a symbol of mix-and-match and a carefree cuisine.

DESIGN: Muller van Severen.

Just like all of Muller Van Severen’s furniture and objects, these trivets are stripped to the bare essence. They consist of nothing more than a thin steel outline of six millimeters thick.'But six millimeters is quite thin. To ensure that the table itself wouldn’t get burned while using the trivet, we tested it. More importantly is the beauty of these trivets. Once hung on top of each other against the wall, the mix of varying shapes create an abstract work of colored lines. The multi color version combines black, orange, mint green and pink.

DESIGN: CP-RV

Winner of Wallpaper's 2022 design awards, the metal KGT (pronounced "cagette") draws its inspiration from a fruits and vegetables crate you could see in a local market.
Designed for a friendlier, domestic purpose by studio CP-RV, the aluminium-made KGT is made through stamping, cutting and bending, each process revealing a feature of the product.
Small subtle notches at the bottom corners allow for easier lifting and grabbing. And thanks to stamped feet at the bottom and stamped dishes at the top, multiple KGT can be stacked while keeping their position fixed.
Use it as a breakfast tray. A desk organiser. A tool box. You could even hang it as a frame, or as a shelf. A metal box with a contemporary feel that seamlessly fits in any interior.

DESIGN: Maarten Baas

Dutch designer Maarten Baas, whose work is often described as rebellious, humorous, intellectual, theatrical and artistic, has designed a cutlery set for valerie_objects. The whimsical shape of each object and the brutalist cuts of the knife emerge from the initial study of the set. It is precisely these characteristics that are inextricably linked with the designer’s work.This wooden giftbox contains 4 sets of cutlery for 4 people including table knife, fork, spoon and teaspoon (16 pieces in total). The cutlery is made out of black brushed stainless steel (18/10).

The cutlery is dishwasher friendly and suited for horeca use.
