OSSO had to be the illustration of what Mattiazzi is in its roots. Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec were inspired by the Mattiazzi’s philosophy and its hybrid way to consider furniture production. The OSSO collection includes a chair, an armchair, stools and a complete range of tables. Wood has the key role in OSSO and it can express all its sensuality. The OSSO chair invites to be touched, even caressed as it is extremely sculpted and polished thanks to the use of highly sophisticated digital control equipment.

The 001 Dining Chair in Black is the same unapologetically brawny form as the natural pine original — now finished in a deep black stain unique to Vaarnii, through which pine's distinctive grain remains pleasingly visible. Designed by Fredrik Paulsen for long, convivial dinners, it pairs sculptural presence with genuine comfort. The black finish adds depth and drama while preserving the material honesty that defines the 001 family.
