The Beak mirror by Søren Rose for Please Wait to Be Seated is a striking fusion of sculptural form and everyday function. Its distinctive angular frame mimics the sharp, pronounced profiles of bird beaks, serving as both a visual statement and a practical ledge.

Depending on how it’s mounted, the Beak transforms in both appearance and utility. Positioned vertically, it acts as a floating shelf for keys, bathroom essentials, or decorative objects. Mounted horizontally, it expands spatial perception, reflecting more light and making a room feel brighter and more expansive. Available in three sizes and two colours: Fig Purple and Cream.

DESIGN: Zoe Mowat

The Obi series came from the Japanese practice of honoring and caring for aging trees by buttressing limbs that require support with beautiful wooden structures. Their functional forms merge with nature to create a new whole.Obi’s central storage compartment is propped up by its own support structure and encircled by a belt — or ‘obi’ in Japanese, that reveals itself as a slim, hidden drawer. The versatile dressers are available in a range of sizes and traditional Japanese finishes, including a natural dye derived from Kyushu persimmons.

With the Zabu chair, Anderssen & Voll were seeking to create a comfortable lounge chair where a dynamic, laidback and transparent, wooden construction would play the main role. The gesture and the detailing of the cushions are inspired by the Zabuton, a traditional Japanese floor cushion. The belts supporting the cushions are on display along the front and back bars of the seat. Together they create an ornamental rhythm that explains the structure.

AIRY STRUCTURE — V.VP.02 SOFA

The V.VP.02 sofa is developed in-house by Verk Projects and crafted exclusively from solid Swedish oak. What makes it unique is its seat cushion construction: the cushions are strung over a sturdy glulam frame, giving the impression that they float above the exterior structure. The absence of an external supporting frame at the ends and back gives the sofa an airy, spontaneous expression that is unlike anything else in the Verk collection.

A SWEDISH CLASSIC REBORN — TRIENNA 2.0 ARMCHAIR

The Trienna armchair has been demonstrating the concept of sustainability for over half a century. Originally designed by Carl-Axel Acking and first produced by Nordiska Kompaniet in 1957, then by Källemo in 1989, the Trienna is now produced by Verk — and just as 65 years ago, no shortcuts have been taken. The leather comes from Tärnsjö Garveri, the wood from Sweden, and the tenons are visible. In consultation with the Acking family, Verk has made two considered modifications for even greater longevity: the seat is now tensionable so it can be adjusted when stretched, and the stitching in the back has been reinforced to resist wear.
