Slim cushions are secured in place by concealed metal clips to the backrest and screws to the seat. Upholstery textile is Alle by Ronan Bouroullec from Kvadrat. Plywood sides give the Maasto Chair strength, reduce bulk and add simplicity to its construction, whilst a solid pine seat and back adds durability.
Vaarnii plywood features an exaggerated grain, producing a visually intoxicating super-pine aesthetic.
