SOFT LIGHT, BOLD FORM — THE SHADES COLLECTION

The CL1 is a ceiling lampshade by George Sowden, part of the celebrated SHADES collection. Born from Sowden's discovery of silicone's extraordinary light-diffusing qualities in 2020, the CL1 casts a soft, comforting glow that transforms any room. Its compact, sculptural form is as striking unlit as it is illuminated — available in White, Red, and Black.

Please note: This listing is for the lampshade only. The ceiling rose kit (cable, ceiling fitting, and bulb holder) is sold separately.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Sowden is the design studio of George Sowden, co-founder of the Memphis Group. The SHADES collection began with a simple discovery: that silicone, a humble industrial material, could diffuse light in a way no other material could — beautifully.
