FAYE TOOGOOD’S ICONIC DINING TABLE — CLEAR LINES, ENDURING CHARACTER
Clear, no-nonsense lines and a sturdy steel frame. Faye Toogood has an eye for removing clutter, and her sculpted designs celebrate the rural past even as they partake of the urban contemporary and look towards the future.
The sheer lines of the table top — just 18 mm thin, in Oregon pine or stained ash — seem to float above the subtly rounded black steel or raw aluminium frames. The Tubby Tube dining table builds on the motifs of Toogood's iconic Spade Chair, with tubular legs that evoke the down-to-earth strength and practicality of garden implements. The frame has adjustable feet to even out uneven floors.
A distinctive and enduring artefact that suits a dining room or a meeting room equally well.
