The 001 Dining Chair by Fredrik Paulsen commands attention the moment it enters a room. Unapologetically brawny in form, it makes no attempt to disguise its mass — and that is precisely its strength. Designed for long, convivial dinners, it pairs sculptural presence with genuine comfort. Paulsen's signature refined brutalism is fully expressed here, as is his deep affinity for pine — a material he describes as 'psychedelic' for its lively, ever-shifting grain. "It is best enjoyed over large surface areas," says Paulsen — a theory put beautifully into practice.
Made in Finland from sustainably sourced Finnish pine.
