DESIGN: Sigve Knutson for Nedre Foss.
Bokk represents a rich addition to the Nedrefoss brand in terms of materiality and expression. The way Sigve Knutson is turning towards our collective memory for inspiration as well as his approach to design as functional sculptures, seem like a perfect match to Nedre Foss values.
The master mould of this mysterious creature was hand carved by the designer. As with most of Sigve´s work, also this object is inextricably tied to his drawings. In Norwegian, Bokk is a type of dark and strong lager. Read as a phonetic transcription, Bokk could mean "A Bend" or simply "A Buck". Bronze was the first metal alloy to be shaped into tools and ornaments some 5000 years ago. Bokk´s bronze is made from a mix of copper and tin.

A collection of fine bone china tableware slip-cast from plaster models carved by hand, with glazed interior for functionality and
raw exterior reflecting the modest surface texture of the plaster original. The process of slip-casting begins with the creation of a three-dimensional model of the design known as a ‘master’ by a professional model-maker, from which the production mould is cast. Crockery bypasses this process by placing the responsibility of both designer and model-maker in the hands of Max Lamb. Using the tools of a stone mason Lamb chips and carves a solid block of plaster to make a series of tableware, the design of each formed quite simply out of their own making.

A special glassblowing technique developed at SkLO gives these vessels their "seam" while they are hot on the glassblower's pipe. This creates the unique asymmetrical, off-center double mouths that are the signature detail of these beautiful vessels. The seam is produced in a palette of rich transparent colors. Then the glass is frosted, resulting in a vibrant, irresistible depth. The open mouths are ground and polished. Two sizes, five glass colors. DESIGN: Muller van Severen.
The colourful trivets might just be one of the most iconic images that Muller Van Severen have created in their celebrated career. With Trivets, the design couple reinterpreted a simple kitchen tool by positioning it against the wall as a piece of art. Today, they redraw the composition. The new collection of Trivets consists of five simple circles in pastels and bright hues creating a colourful yet minimalistic composition of concentric rounds. Consider it a bangle for the kitchen wall. An all-black set is also available. These circular Trivets can also be combined with the original rectangular Trivets. “Don’t discard the old, add to it”, is what the designers are essentially saying. These Trivets act as a symbol of mix-and-match and a carefree cuisine.

DESIGN: Muller van Severen.
Just like all of Muller Van Severen’s furniture and objects, these trivets are stripped to the bare essence. They consist of nothing more than a thin steel outline of six millimeters thick.'But six millimeters is quite thin. To ensure that the table itself wouldn’t get burned while using the trivet, we tested it. More importantly is the beauty of these trivets. Once hung on top of each other against the wall, the mix of varying shapes create an abstract work of colored lines. The multi color version combines black, orange, mint green and pink.

Winner of Wallpaper's 2022 design awards, the metal KGT (pronounced "cagette") draws its inspiration from a fruits and vegetables crate you could see in a local market.
Designed for a friendlier, domestic purpose by studio CP-RV, the aluminium-made KGT is made through stamping, cutting and bending, each process revealing a feature of the product.
Small subtle notches at the bottom corners allow for easier lifting and grabbing. And thanks to stamped feet at the bottom and stamped dishes at the top, multiple KGT can be stacked while keeping their position fixed.
Use it as a breakfast tray. A desk organiser. A tool box. You could even hang it as a frame, or as a shelf. A metal box with a contemporary feel that seamlessly fits in any interior.

DESIGN: Livia Lauber
The lively grain that is a much-appreciated characteristic of pine is celebrated in these elementary but effective table-top accessories by Livia Lauber. Alongside this honest use of material, carefully considered details enhance the design; such as a small gap beneath the edge to allow easy lifting and a softened edge to make the trays comfortable in the hand. The strong geometric shapes of the Square and Rectangular Tray appeal singularly or when stacked, in use or at rest.
Made in Finland of Finnish pine.

DESIGN: Mac Collins
The form of Mac Collins’ Bowl is definite and unwavering in its evocation of sturdiness and stability. A low centre of gravity is achieved by a shallow bowl elevated, like a platform, on top of thick legs. The Bowl is confident, advertising its longevity, to provoke a long-lasting attachment through their endearing character, but their design is also a reply to the specific qualities of pine; ‘It was important to me that the design would be as honest and deliberate as the material’. The qualities of the wood are shown off through a combination of straight lines and curves, horizontal and vertical grains.
