In 2017, Milan–Brussels studio Piovenefabi presented a floor lamp at the Chicago Architecture Biennial that recreated the Milan metro's iconic handrail in precise detail. The Metro La Tre is a sculptural table lamp born from one of contemporary design's most celebrated tributes to urban infrastructure. In 2017, Milan–Brussels architecture studio Piovenefabi paid homage to the Milan metro system with a landmark installation at the Chicago Architecture Biennial — a floor lamp that faithfully reproduced the metro's iconic handrail.
