CARE & MAINTENANCE

Switch off the lamp before cleaning. Dust the aluminium surfaces with a soft, dry cloth and avoid abrasive cleaners that could mark the finish.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Founded in 2013, Parachilna continues the Riera family’s lighting legacy, which began in the 1930s with Metalarte, a pioneer of Spanish design that supported emerging talents including André Ricard, Antoni Arola and Jaime Hayon. Three generations later, the brand brings fresh energy to that heritage through craftsmanship, innovation and design culture. It collaborates with designers and artisans who challenge convention, blending tradition and experimentation to create lighting that explores emotion, material and meaning, with a timeless yet forward-looking character.

A minimal, sculptural suspended light composed of a larger, 180mm diffuser of handblown Czech glass on a short horizontal stem opposite a smaller, 110mm diffuser on a longer, downward arching stem. The glass diffusers are available in both “dipped” glass, featuring the SkLO double-dipped flame-polished mouth and “textured” glass, featuring a soft, frosted finish and subtle sculpted vertical ridges.

The glass diffusers are available in three shapes and in both “dipped” glass, featuring the SkLO double-dipped flame-polished mouth and “textured” glass, featuring a soft, frosted finish and subtle sculpted vertical ridges.

DESIGN: Sebastian Herkner.

Bent presents all that is beautiful about glass, illuminated atop a simple frame. The fluidity, transparency and pattern of glass locked into an intriguing abstract form. Perhaps his most loved material; designer Sebastian Herkner has again stretched the capabilities of glass production into a series of sculptural lamps. The bent series utilises simple fluted glass panels, pushing and pulling the still fluid forms into flared and curved shapes. The unique pattern of the thin flutes throughout the panel creates a shield of light, the LED light source within spreading across their glass form. Presented simply stop a black steel frame, these mesmerising glass panels take centre stage.

PROCESS:

Each piece is created from casted and coloured glass sheet, slumped into form. Bubbles, streaks and other variations in size and colour are part of production processes, and not defects in the design or production. The stand and base are produced from powder coated steel.
