The Buoy Collection was designed by Václav Mlynář, Creative Director of BOMMA. He found inspiration in the concept of buoys as orientation points that guide sailors day and night. His hand-blown crystal lights feature unusual light rods that run through the entire core formed by a monumental glass body. As Václav Mlynář explains: 

“The Buoy Collection seeks a balance between a classic light fixture and a light object, hovering at the edge of sculpture and product design”.

Cabine Mirror is designed by Inga Sempé and is both a full length mirror and a coat stand. The double mirrors reflecting in two directions increase the volume of the room in which it is put. In French, Cabine is the name of the place where one tries on clothes in a clothing store, and also the name of rooms in boats and trains. This piece of furniture is like a tiny house, behind it people can dress or undress, and organise one‘s clothes and belongings; outside it people can look at one‘s reflection. While this product is highly functional, it also reflects Japanese cultural values like the importance of keeping one‘s home tidy and presenting one‘s best to the world.

With valerie_objects celebrating their fifth anniversary, design duo Muller Van Severen created two special lighting objects that set the celebratory mood. Ceiling lamp n°4 and n°5 reflect the shape of garlands and serpentines, drawing playful and colourful lines in space. The lamp is made of steel, thus unbendable. These frivolous lamps are available in the meticulously selected playful colours that is so typical to the oeuvre of Muller Van Severen. ‘We want to make people look at the architecture of the home again, at the walls and the ceiling’, Hannes Van Severen explains. These lamps lead the eye’. That’s what design should do: tie the room together to create one story: the tale of the owner.

Lampshade sold on its own, without ceiling rose / electrical system. The lampshade is compatible with any E27/E26 socket. The ceiling rose is sold separately (cable / ceiling fitting / light bulb holder). The initial idea behind Shades came about in 2020, when George Sowden discovered the extraordinary potential of silicon, which optimally diffuses light in a pleasent way. Silicon is a non-toxic material, as well as being easy to clean, shock-resistant and known for retaining its aesthetic qualities over time. Silicon sets the lamps apart even before they have been switched on. Diffusing a soft and comforting light.
